The Seattle Sports Commission is hosting its Women in Leadership Breakfast at The Westin Seattle on Friday, October 16. It's an annual morning that celebrates women in sports leadership and pushes for gender equality in the industry. This is the ninth edition, and it's grown into one of the city's signature October gatherings, bringing together women from sports, business, media, technology and community leadership to learn, connect and raise each other's profiles.
Leadership is framed here as developing the confidence, resilience and self-awareness to lead with purpose, across mind, body and soul. This year's theme, Upping Your Game, turns on clarity, courage and compassion. The morning is built around a mainstage program, a networking space with professional headshots and the Kaiser Permanente Marketplace, a showcase of local women-owned businesses, which are often minority-owned.
