Electronic music festival BOO Seattle featuring GRiZ, Subtronics and over 45 artists in a Halloween-themed rave.
GRiZ headlines the WAMU Theater on Friday, October 30, as part of BOO Seattle, a Halloween electronic music festival running Friday and Saturday, October 30-31. The festival is built around the spooky themeβa 'Spooktacular' that leans into the city's rave tradition, set in a world of paranormal activities and mysterious wonder. GRiZ, whose real name is Grant Kwiecinski, is a Detroit artist who performs on computers, controllers, and saxophone, joined on stage by Dan Hacker, also known as Muzzy, on guitar and pedals. He's a vinyl lover and describes himself as a 'people hugger.'
GRiZ and Subtronics were announced back in May as the first two names on the bill, just a couple of days after their inaugural GRiZTRONICS Gorge event. The organizers are billing this edition as having the largest lineup yet, with more than 45 artists in total and a few names still to be announced. Along with GRiZ and Subtronics, the confirmed list includes Sara Landry, James Hype, it's murph, Walker & Royce, Troyboi, Kayzo, Levity, LYNY, Samplifire, Space Laces, Casey Club, Ravenscoon, The Masquerade, Wuki, and YDG.
