Free New Year's Eve celebration with live music, dance parties, video projections and fireworks across Seattle Center grounds.
New Year's Eve at the Center takes over the Seattle Center grounds on December 31, 2026, as the finale to Winterfest. It's a free celebration that spreads across the campus, so you can drift between the music and the light shows throughout the night rather than sticking to one spot.
Copastetic plays in the Armory from 8 PM to midnight, which keeps the live music going right up to the countdown. Out by the International Fountain, DJ Sharlese takes over at 9 PM, and from 10 PM the Collide-O-Scope video projection runs on the fountain waters. The Space Needle adds its own light shows at 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, and 11:30 PM, leading up to the midnight pyrotechnic and drone show, the Alaska Airlines New Year's at the Needle.
Winterfest, presented by Symetra, is the anchor of the Center's holiday season, which runs from November 27 through December 31. This New Year's Eve party is its grand finale, and the season also includes the Seattle Christmas Market, PNB's Nutcracker, a Winter Train & Village, and a Winterfest World Bazaar. The Center itself is a civic, arts, and family gathering place on a 74-acre campus.

If you're planning your night, a few practical things to keep in mind: access to the grounds tightens near the Space Needle starting at 4:30 PM, so get in early if you want to be close to the needle. The Monorail runs until 10:30 PM and then resumes after 12:20 AM, and the Armory's eateries serve until 11:30 PM. Admission is free.
