Electronic music night featuring Satin Jackets, Manatee Commune and Justin Hartinger at Nectar Lounge.
Satin Jackets headline Nectar Lounge on Saturday, October 10, with Manatee Commune and Justin Hartinger opening. It's a full electronic bill at one of Seattle's long-standing rooms, and the night runs from the early sets through to the main feature.
Satin Jackets is the project of German producer Tim Bernhardt, who launched it in 2012. He describes the sound as being inspired by the polished productions of Chic and Trevor Horn, with the goal of reviving the glamour of the modern disco era. His debut single, "You Make Me Feel Good," came out on the Belgian label Eskimo Recordings and became a nu-disco hit. Since then, the project has put out three albums, and since 2023, Bernhardt has been releasing music on his own Berlin-based label, Golden Hour. He's collaborated with artists like Panama, Tensnake, and Booka Shade, so the set should pull from a fair bit of ground.
Manatee Commune and Justin Hartinger open the night, setting the stage before Satin Jackets takes over. Nectar Lounge has been Seattle's largest indoor/outdoor music venue since 2004, so there's plenty of room to move around between the sets.
