Jazz-fusion and R&B artist Robert Glasper performs live at Nectar Lounge in Seattle.
Robert Glasper plays Nectar Lounge on Tuesday, December 15, 2026. He's a jazz-fusion and hip-hop fusion artist with five Grammy Awards, 12 nominations, an Emmy, and a Peabody.
If you're coming to him through the jazz world, you probably know Black Radio, the 2012 album that crossed over into the R&B charts and won him the Grammy for Best R&B Album. If you're coming from the hip-hop side, you might recognize his keys across Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly, for which he picked up another Grammy for "These Walls." He's worked in a few different configurations over the years: an acoustic trio with DJ Jahi Sundance, the R&B group R+R=Now, and the supergroup August Greene with Common and Karriem Riggins. He put out Black Radio III in 2022.
Beyond the records, he's spent the last few years organizing his own stages. In 2022, he co-founded and served as artistic director for the first Blue Note Napa Valley Jazz Festival, and that same year he held a month-long residency at the Blue Note in New York City.
