Guided public tour of the exhibition 'Journeys Through Time and Space', exploring themes of worship, clothing, nature and identity through Asian art.
Journeys Through Time and Space is a guided tour at the Seattle Asian Art Museum on Saturday, November 21. It's a 60-minute walk through art from the world's largest continent, and it's built around a few big, human themes: worship and celebration, clothing and identity, nature and power, and birth and death. The tour moves through installations that show the complexity and diversity of Asia, so you're seeing a lot of ground in a single hour.
The venue itself is worth a mention. The Seattle Asian Art Museum is an Art Deco building inside Volunteer Park, and it's where the Seattle Art Museum first began. Today it houses the museum's extensive Asian art collection. Beyond the galleries, the building also holds the Gardner Center for Asian Art & Ideas, the McCaw Library, the Chen Community Meeting Room, and the museum shop, so there's plenty to see and do around the tour if you want to make a full afternoon of it.

Since this tour falls on a Third Saturday, it's one of those free days. The tour runs for 60 minutes, and the museum is located in Volunteer Park.
