Nite Wave's 80s Halloween Party

Nite Wave is bringing their 80s Halloween party to Nectar Lounge on Saturday, October 24, with DJ Indica Jones on the decks. It's a night built around the decade's biggest New Wave acts—Duran Duran, INXS, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, The Cure, New Order, Prince, and Depeche Mode—so the setlist covers a good stretch of the era. 80s costumes are highly encouraged, and the whole night is strictly 21+.

Nite Wave is a Seattle-based tribute band that formed in 2011 after the members answered a Craigslist ad. Since then, they've shared the stage with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go's, Clive Farrington of When in Rome, Marty Jourard of The Motels, and multi-platinum artist Tiffany. Billy Idol handpicked them to open for him at Showbox SoDo back in October 2012. Beyond the music, they've raised more than $17,000 for Northwest Harvest, the American Red Cross, and Planned Parenthood, and have been featured on CNN and Good Morning America.

Doors open at 8 PM, and the show runs from 8 PM to 11:45 PM at Nectar Lounge, 412 N 36th St. Tickets are $31.07.
