A dance party and fundraiser for queer and migrant rights with an all trans and gender non-conforming cast, featuring live performances and a midnight fashion show.
Fiesta De Putxs returns to Chop Suey on Thursday, October 15, from 9 PM to 2 AM. It's an all-trans and gender-non-conforming party series, and this particular edition is billed as a Last Dance.
The night is hosted by Exesive and Justice Manslayer, with DJs Reverend Dollars, Desejo.biz, Anai Gressier and DJ Kimere on the decks. The music moves through cumbia, Latin house, Brazilian funk and reggaeton, and there's a full go-go crew on the floor: Prettyboy Jey, 4toph, Zury Reyes, Jadaraid, Lex Soleada and Delirium. Live performances start at 11 PM, and the whole thing wraps up with a midnight fashion show fronted by trans models.
There's a specific point to the night beyond the dance floor. Fiesta De Putxs is a fundraiser for queer and migrant rights, with profits going to the migrant community, and some nights specifically supporting Indigenous migrant women. The organizers describe the series as leaning on solidarity between migrants, trans bodies and sex workers, and they're proud that the cast is all-trans and GNC.
