A night of goth, darkwave, new wave, post-punk, and industrial music with DJ Baby Van Beezly and gogo dancing.
Crimewave is back at Nectar Lounge on Friday, October 9, a night of goth, darkwave, new wave, post-punk, and industrial music. It's presented by What The Dance, and the whole thing is 21 and over.
DJ Baby Van Beezly is on the decks, and the set list pulls from both the classics and the newer wave of the scene. You'll hear Depeche Mode, The Cure, and Nine Inch Nails alongside Mareux, Molchat Doma, and Boy Harsher, with more mixed in throughout the night. It's a wide reach across the genresβthe synth-pop of the 80s, the heavier industrial side, and the colder, more modern darkwave that's been picking up lately.
There's gogo dancing on the floor by @yourtoxicaddiction, so it's a dance night rather than a seated show. The music runs from 9:30 PM to 1:30 AM, which gives you plenty of room to settle in and dance through the different moods of the set.
