A hyperpop night featuring DJs spinning tracks from Slayyyter, Charli XCX, SOPHIE and other artists at Nectar Lounge.
Club Slayyy takes over Nectar Lounge on Saturday, October 17, for a night built around Slayyyter and hyperpop. It's presented by What The Dance, who've billed the whole thing as the "WOR$T PARTY IN SEATTLE."
Four DJs—STREETAN9ELL, LILYGRACE999, RIVERTHESTAR, and SOFIIAKMUSIC—will be spinning Slayyyter and a wide roster of hyperpop-adjacent artists. The list they've put out runs deep: Charli XCX, Kim Petras, Adéla, SOPHIE, Ashnikko, Cobrah, Kesha, FKA Twigs, Britney, Horsegirl, Lady Gaga, Shygirl, and Frost Children. It's a mix of the hyperpop vanguard, pop heavyweights, and a few left-field additions, and they're keeping the door open for requests—they've asked people to comment with the songs they want to dance to.
If you're not familiar with the sound, hyperpop is exactly what it sounds like: pop pushed to its absolute limit, with pitched-up vocals, distorted bass, and a high-energy, almost manic pace. Slayyyter sits right at the center of that, and the rest of the lineup follows suit, leaning into the same bright, synthetic, and unapologetically loud territory. With four DJs rotating through the night, the set should keep moving across that whole spectrum.
