Metalcore band Chelsea Grin supports headliner Whitechapel, with The Acacia Strain and Netherwalker on the bill.
Chelsea Grin are playing Showbox SoDo on Saturday, December 5, as part of a four-band bill headed by Whitechapel. They're sharing the stage with The Acacia Strain and Netherwalker, so it's a full night of heavy music rather than a single act. Chelsea Grin come from Salt Lake City, Utah, and they're fronted by vocalist Tom Barber, with David Flinn on bass and Speave on guitar.
Whitechapel takes the top spot. They formed in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 2006 and have kept their core lineup intact since 2007. Their 2019 album The Valley became a landmark release for them, followed by the darker 2021 follow-up Kin and then 2024's Hymns in Dissonance. That latest record was produced by guitarist Zach Householder and follows a cultist gathering followers to commit the seven deadly sins and open a portal for the head cultist.
