A tribute concert by the Seattle String Quartet featuring orchestral arrangements of video game themes, performed in the historic Arctic Club Hotel under candlelight.
Candlelight: Best of Video Games comes to the Arctic Club Hotel on Sunday, December 6, with the Seattle String Quartet performing orchestral arrangements of video game themes. It's part of the Candlelight series, which pairs classical musicians with an audience under the glow of candlelight in one of the city's most striking rooms.
The music covers the gaming landscape from fantasy epics to nostalgic adventures, with the quartet playing scores that have captivated players for decades. It's a tribute experience, so the performance isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the original artists, their estates, or official representatives.
The venue is the Arctic Club Hotel, a 1916 Beaux-Arts landmark in downtown Seattle at 700 3rd Avenue. It holds around 400 people and is known for the terra cotta walrus heads that ring its exterior and the Northern Lights Dome Room, a stained-glass ceiling that hangs over the performance. The concert is recommended for ages 8 and older, and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
