A Candlelight concert tribute to Michael Jackson performed by the Seattle String Quartet in an intimate venue with LED candles.
The Seattle String Quartet is taking over the Arctic Club Hotel on Sunday, September 6, for a Candlelight tribute to Michael Jackson. It's part of the Candlelight concert series, which brings classical and popular music into intimate Seattle venues lit by thousands of LED candles. The Arctic Club Hotel is one of their regular spots, alongside the Museum of Flight and the National Nordic Museum.
If you're not familiar with the format, it's pretty straightforward: they take songs you know and rearrange them for strings and classical instruments. The series has run everything from The Lord of the Rings and Vivaldi to Fleetwood Mac, and this one puts Michael Jackson's catalog through that same treatment. The Seattle String Quartet handles the music, and the whole thing is framed by the candlelit room.
Each performance runs about an hour, and the concerts carry a minimum age of around 8. There's also an optional photography add-on called Candlelight Photo if you want a professional shot of the night. One thing to keep in mind: this is a tribute experience, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Michael Jackson or his estate.
