Weezer performs live at Viejas Arena as part of their Gathering Tour, with The Shins and Silversun Pickups as support acts.
Weezer play Viejas Arena on Wednesday, October 21, as part of their Gathering Tour. They aren't coming alone: The Shins and Silversun Pickups are both on the bill, so it's a full evening of three bands rather than just a headliner and a single opener.
If you're not familiar with the support, The Shins bring their particular brand of melodic indie pop, and Silversun Pickups lean into a heavier, fuzzier side of the same family. Having both on one night means the bill covers a fair bit of ground before Weezer takes the stage.
Since the show is at Viejas Arena, there are a few things to keep in mind before you head over. The arena is the home of San Diego State basketball, and it operates as a cashless venue. If you're planning on using cash, there are cash-to-card kiosks behind the Ticket Office at the Main Gate and at Gate 3 where you can load it onto a card. You'll also want to check the bag policy: bags can't be larger than 12" x 6" x 12", or they have to be a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag. Small purses, clutches, and wallets up to 4.5" x 6.5" are fine, but backpacks aren't allowed.

Doors open at 6 PM, and the show is scheduled to start at 7 PM. With three bands on the bill, getting there early gives you a better chance of catching the openers from the start.
