Dutch electronic music duo Tinlicker and Helsloot perform live at the House of Blues in San Diego as part of Tinlicker's North America 2026 tour.
Tinlicker and Helsloot bring Dutch electronic music to the House of Blues San Diego on Thursday, October 8, as part of Tinlicker's North America 2026 tour. Both acts hail from the Netherlands, and they're sharing the bill for the San Diego stop.
Tinlicker comes from Utrecht, and his sound weaves together progressive and techno. There's a literary side to his work that doesn't always make it into the club: his album art draws from Ted Hughes' The Iron Man, and song titles like 'Milkshake', 'Cupcakes', 'Applejuice' and 'Octopus Tree' nod to Craig Raine's 1979 poem A Martian Sends A Postcard Home.
Helsloot, born Thomas Helsloot and based in Amsterdam, is known for a melodic, futuristic, hip-hop-influenced take on techno and disco. He's a familiar name in the electronic scene, and his track 'Because You Move Me' has a story behind it: he sent a draft to his producer friends Tinlicker, and the version released by Armada has since gathered over 450 million streams, gone platinum in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and gold in France and the Netherlands. Since then, he's signed to Get Physical, Domino Records, This Never Happened, Ritter Butzke and Anjunadeep, and he's currently working on his debut album.
