This isn't a standard set. The band is touring their debut album, Passover, and they're playing it in full, alongside their greatest hits. Passover came out in 2006 and helped define the 21st-century psychedelic rock revival. Since then, they've followed it with Death Song in 2017 and Wilderness of Mirrors in 2022, both on Partisan Records. The current lineup—Alex Maas on vocals and bass, Christian Bland on guitar, Stephanie Bailey on drums, Jake Garcia on guitar, and Misti Hamrick on bass—will run through the whole debut and then pull from the rest of their catalog.
They formed in Austin, Texas, in 2004 and have since become one of the most influential bands in modern psych rock. They draw on forebears like Syd Barrett, Roky Erickson, Arthur Lee, and The Velvet Underground, and they went on to found Austin Psych Fest, one of the world's most important gatherings for psychedelic, experimental, and underground music.
