American darkwave and rock band She Wants Revenge perform live at the House of Blues in San Diego, with support from Rosegarden Funeral Party.
She Wants Revenge play House of Blues San Diego on Thursday, October 22, with Rosegarden Funeral Party opening. The show is all ages, and the doors open at 7 PM, with the music starting at 8 PM.
If you're not familiar, She Wants Revenge is a darkwave and rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 2005 around lead members Justin Warfield and Adam 12. They started out on Fred Durst's Interscope imprint, Flawless Records, and later moved to their own label, Perfect Kiss Records. Their sound draws on Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, New Order, and The Sisters of Mercy, and the press has compared them to Joy Division and Interpol. They released a self-titled album in 2006 and This Is Forever in 2007, toured with Depeche Mode and Placebo in 2006, and contributed to The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack.
Frontman Justin Warfield is a veteran of the LA scene. Before this, he was the rapper behind The Justin Warfield Supernaut and One Inch Punch—the latter's "Pretty Piece of Flesh" ended up on the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack—and he's guested with Bomb the Bass, Placebo, and The Chemical Brothers. Rosegarden Funeral Party will be opening the night.
