A Halloween and horror convention featuring panels, horror-themed merchandise, independent film screenings, an escape room, a kids zone and a costume contest.
Scream Diego returns on Saturday, October 17, at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego at the Hazard Center in Mission Valley. It's a Halloween and horror convention that bills itself as San Diego's scariest pop culture event, and this year it's moving to a new venue in Mission Valley. The whole day is open to all ages, and kids eight and under get in free.
There's a lot to do throughout the day. You'll find panels, horror-themed merchandise from specialty vendors, and screenings of independent horror films. There's also an escape room, a kids zone, and a costume contest for both children and adults. This edition leans into the camp with the theme 'ZOMBIES ZOMBIES ZOMBIES!!!', and the Monster Prom party is back with karaoke and a DJ. The event is supported by Silk Road Productions.

Horror-related panels are $12, and if you only want to browse the vendors and artists, it's $1. The convention runs from 10 AM to 6 PM at 7450 Hazard Center Dr, San Diego, CA 92108.
