Concert by the smooth jazz ensemble Pro2Call at Humphreys Backstage Live.
Pro2Call play Humphreys Backstage Live on Sunday, October 11, from 6 PM to 10 PM. The ensemble formed in 1999, a group of like-minded musicians who describe themselves as being driven to create music that reflects the unique influences each member brings to the table. That's a good way to put it, because the sound doesn't belong to any one person — it comes from the group working together.
What they're known for are infectious grooves and vibrant melodic lines, and they've been at it for over two decades. Their first album, First Fruit Project, came out in 2013, and one of the tracks, "Pocket Science," is a distinctly funky piece that's found its way onto Smooth Jazz radio. If that's the kind of thing you're into, this is exactly the sort of show you'll want to catch.
