A festive day of German-inspired food, beer, and seasonal drinks at PB AleHouse in Pacific Beach, featuring bratwurst, German tunes, and a stein-holding contest.
PB AleHouse is bringing Oktoberfest to Pacific Beach on Saturday, October 10, from 12 PM to 6 PM. It's a daytime celebration of German-inspired food and beer, and the party centers on the venue's back beer garden.
Over the course of the afternoon, the beer garden will be stocked with German beer specials, and the food follows the theme: bratwurst served with sauerkraut and beer mustard. There'll be German tunes playing throughout the day, and the main event is a stein-holding contest with prizes for whoever can hold their beer the longest. It's the kind of afternoon you can drift in and out of—grab a bratwurst and a drink, hang out in the garden for a while, and maybe enter the contest if you're feeling competitive.
Because it runs from noon to 6 PM, it's a daytime thing rather than a late-night one, which makes it easy to fit into a Saturday without ruining your whole weekend. The beer garden is the heart of it, so you'll be outside in the Pacific Beach air for most of the afternoon.
