20th anniversary screening of the film Napoleon Dynamite followed by a live conversation with original stars Jon Heder, Jon Gries and Efren Ramirez.
Napoleon Dynamite is coming to the Epstein Family Amphitheater at UC San Diego on Friday, May 14, 2027, for a 20th anniversary screening and live conversation. The night starts with a full screening of the indie comedy, and once the credits roll, the original stars take the stage. Jon Heder, who played Napoleon, Jon Gries as Uncle Rico, and Efren Ramirez as Pedro will all be there together.
The conversation is built around behind-the-scenes stories from the film, an audience Q&A, and some comedy, with the three of them talking through the movie they made two decades ago. If you're looking for something more, there's a VIP package that lets you meet all three in person with a hug, a high five, a photo, and a quick chat. The whole evening is presented by ARTPOWER at UC San Diego, and it's open to all ages, so it works if you're bringing the family. Cashless vendors will be on site serving bites and beverages throughout the night.
