Nahko and Medicine for the People celebrate the 10th anniversary of the album Hoka with a re-recording tour, featuring renewed versions of fan favourites.
Nahko and Medicine for the People play The Holding Company in Ocean Beach on Friday, October 16, 2026. It's part of the Hoka 10th Anniversary Tour, and it marks Nahko's return to North America.
Hoka was the landmark album that helped define a movement rooted in healing, empowerment, and connection. For this anniversary, Nahko re-recorded the entire record, revisiting and reimagining the songs while keeping the medicine at their heart intact. Those re-recordings were released alongside the tour dates, so you'll hear these versions live. The set will pull from the album, with renewed takes on fan favorites like "Tus Pies," "Love Letters to God," "Make a Change," and "Runner," along with some of the deeper cuts. He's described the night as one of community, storytelling, healing, and musical time travel.
Nahko draws on his Native, Filipino, and Puerto Rican heritage, channeling lived experience into songs grounded in resilience, accountability, and collective restoration. Now fully independent, he's spent recent years revisiting and reclaiming his catalog. The Hoka tour is the latest part of that process.
