Long Beach Dub Allstars perform live at The Holding Company, continuing the reggae-rock legacy of Sublime.
Long Beach Dub Allstars play The Holding Company on Thursday, December 10, 2026. It's a single-bill night, so they're the only act on the marquee.
If you're not familiar with the name, the band formed in 1997, coming out of the tragedy of Bradley Nowell's passing. They set out to carry on the reggae-rock movement that Sublime helped pioneer, and they've spent the years since building their own thing. Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson started it alongside Long Beach music staples Opie Ortiz, Miguel Happoldt and Marshall Goodman, and together they became a driving force in blending reggae, dub, ska, punk and hip-hop. Their early albums, Right Back (1999) and Wonders of the World (2001), helped shape a whole generation of that sound.
That mix is exactly what they're bringing to San Diego. You'll hear the reggae and dub at the core, with ska, punk and hip-hop woven in around it. It's the same sound they've been known for since those first records, and they're the only band on the bill for the night.
