gavn!

gavn! plays the Voodoo Room at the House of Blues on Wednesday, November 18, 2026. It's a single-bill night, so gavn! is the only act on the program.

If the name doesn't ring a bell, here's the quick version: gavn! is an indie pop and folk artist from Seattle, Washington. The sound sits right in that intersection of the two—the melodic sensibilities of indie pop meeting the stripped-back, song-focused approach of folk. It's the kind of music that works just as well on headphones as it does in a room.

There's a specific line in the bio that sticks out: "I'd rather listen to you than attend your funeral." It's a bit of a dark, dry joke, but it points toward the kind of songwriting that puts the person and the conversation first. That's the core of the act—songs that feel like they're being told to you rather than performed at you.

On the practical side, the show is all ages, which means anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or a responsible adult 25 or older. The Voodoo Room is at the House of Blues San Diego, 1055 5th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101. Doors open at 7 PM, and the show starts at 8 PM.
