DOMi & JD Beck play the House of Blues in San Diego on Monday, October 12, as part of their WHO ASKED? North America Tour. It's a duo of a pianist and a drummer, and that's pretty much the whole show.
DOMi is a pianist, keyboardist, and producer from Metz, France. She made a name for herself almost immediately after arriving in the US: her first Facebook videos went viral, pulling in more than 800,000 views. At 17, she caught the attention of Robert Searight II of Snarky Puppy, who goes by Sput, and Louis Cole of KNOWER, and earned an endorsement from Spectrasonics. Her sound pulls from a wide mix of jazz, groove, classical, hip-hop, gospel, soul, and dubstep, so it's hard to pin down to one thing.
