Inaugural open-air dining experience on India Street in Little Italy, with a four-course family-style dinner by Barbusa, live entertainment and a post-dinner celebration.
Busalacchi Restaurants are taking over India Street in Little Italy on Sunday, October 11, for their first-ever open-air dining experience, called The Feast. They're closing India Street from Fir Street to Grape Street for one night, filling the stretch with long communal banquet tables. The whole thing runs from 5 PM to 10 PM, and it's open to all ages.
The evening starts with a reception hour and grazing stations, followed by a four-course family-style dinner cooked by Barbusa, the family's restaurant. There's live entertainment throughout the night and a post-dinner celebration to keep things going after the meal. The Busalacchi family describes The Feast as a new annual community celebration inspired by the Italian tradition of gathering around the table.
This first edition marks a milestone for the family: 40 years of serving San Diego and helping shape Little Italy into one of the city's most celebrated culinary and cultural destinations. It's a bit of a victory lap for them, and they're doing it by turning a city street into a dining room for the neighborhood.
