Bonnie Raitt: Live 2026

Bonnie Raitt plays The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park on Saturday, October 17, 2026, with Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen opening the show. Raitt is a singer, songwriter and slide-guitarist whose style blends blues, R&B, rock and pop. She spent twenty years as a cult favorite before breaking through in the early 1990s with the Grammy Award-winning albums Nick of Time and Luck of the Draw, which produced hits like "Something to Talk About" and "I Can't Make You Love Me."

She's a 13-time Grammy winner and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. Rolling Stone named her one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time and one of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. Born in Los Angeles to Broadway singer John Raitt and pianist Marge Goddard, she moved to Cambridge in the late 1960s, studied at Harvard/Radcliffe and opened for blues giants like Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker. Her 1971 debut, Bonnie Raitt, launched a career marked by activism — she co-founded MUSE and the Rhythm and Blues Foundation — and by collaborations with Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and Taj Mahal.

Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen open the night, so the music starts well before Raitt takes the stage. The show is at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, 222 Marina Park Way, San Diego, CA 92101, starting at 7 PM.
