Conference for young entrepreneurs with breakout sessions, mentorship, and networking at the San Diego Convention Center.
BizCon 2026 takes over the San Diego Convention Center on Friday, October 9, from 9 AM to 5 PM. It's a full day dedicated to entrepreneurship, and while the focus is on students, the organizers say it's open to all ages.
The day is built around the fundamentals of starting a business. You'll spend the morning and afternoon with emerging entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and mentors who talk through their own backgrounds and share how they got to where they are. A good chunk of the day is spent in breakout sessions, and one of the more specific ones is a workshop on writing essays for scholarships, university admissions, and grants—the kind of practical help that usually doesn't get much airtime in a general business talk. There's also a community tabling area where you can meet role models and look into different opportunities.
Beyond the sessions, there's a recurring theme of building generational wealth, which is something the day treats as a core part of the entrepreneurship conversation rather than an afterthought. The whole thing is supported by Young Black & 'N Business, and the organizers describe it as a launchpad where students can connect with people who've already done what they're aiming for.
