Classic rock band America performs their timeless hits on their The Happy Trails Tour, with special guest King Taylor Project, at the outdoor Humphreys Concerts by the Bay.
America bring their The Happy Trails Tour to Humphrey's Concerts By The Bay on Saturday, October 24, with special guest King Taylor Project. The show starts at 7:30 PM.
America formed in 1970 and have stayed a constant in the classic-rock world ever since. Their best-known songs were cornerstones of 1970s Top 40 and FM rock radio: "A Horse With No Name" hit number one on Billboard's Hot 100 in 1972, and it's joined by "I Need You," "Ventura Highway," "Don't Cross The River," "Tin Man," "Lonely People," and "Sister Golden Hair." In 1982, a renewed focus on songwriting brought them back up the pop charts with the hit single "You Can Do Magic."
They're a Grammy Award-winning act known for mixing melodic pop rock and folk-jazz elements, slinky Latin-leaning rhythms, and impressionistic lyric imagery with more traditional country-rock and highly personal lyrics. The set will be part of their The Happy Trails Tour, with King Taylor Project opening the night.
