Free weekly Thursday evening workshop of knitting, crochet and embroidery at the Salt Lake City Library.
Yarn Y'all is a weekly gathering for knitting, crochet, and embroidery that meets at Library Square, inside the Salt Lake City Library. It's a drop-in style session, so you can swing by with whatever project you're currently working on—whether that's a half-finished sweater, a small crochet piece, or some embroidery you've been picking at for months—and work on it alongside other people. It's less of a formal class and more of a social hour for fiber arts, where the main thing is just sitting together and making stuff.
The group covers three different crafts under one roof: knitting, crochet, and embroidery. If you're into any of those, you'll find your people there. Since it's a social circle rather than a structured workshop, you can bring your own project from home and work at your own pace, rather than following a specific pattern or lesson. It's the kind of thing that works just as well if you've been crafting for years as it does if you're still figuring out your first few stitches.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Salt Lake City and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It runs on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, so it's a short hour to get some work done and chat with other makers. It's free to attend, and since it's held at the library, it's easy to get to. If you've got a project that's been sitting in a basket at home, this is a good excuse to actually bring it out and make some progress on it.
