Folk singer-songwriter Willi Carlisle plays The Urban Lounge in Salt Lake City on his The Universal Bubba Tour.
Willi Carlisle plays The Urban Lounge on Saturday, December 5, as part of his The Universal Bubba Tour. He's a folk singer-songwriter from Kansas, now based in Arkansas, and this is the Salt Lake City stop of the run.
His music pulls from a few different places at once—traditional folk, punk, and country. He's a multi-instrumentalist and a poetic storyteller who writes from the margins of rural America, and his songs often explore themes of queer life. If you're not familiar with his discography, he's put out three albums: Peculiar, Missouri, Critterland, and Winged Victory. He's also a USA Fellowship recipient.
