Monthly graphic novel club for tweens in 3rd through 6th grade to discuss the month's graphic novel with snacks, crafts and trivia.
Totally Tweens! Graphic Novel Club is back at the Salt Lake City Public Library Marmalade Branch on Wednesday, October 28, from 4 PM to 5 PM. It's a monthly graphic novel club for tweens in 3rd through 6th grade, and this session meets in the library's multipurpose room.
The format is pretty straightforward: the group spends the hour talking through the month's chosen graphic novel, and the conversation is paired with snacks, crafts, and trivia. It's designed as a social way to get kids talking about what they're reading, so the discussion doesn't stand alone—the snacks and activities are part of the draw. The club also encourages readers to borrow their copy of the book from the Marmalade Branch itself, which makes it easy to pick up the title before the meeting.

Since it's a recurring thing, it's worth knowing the schedule: it runs on the second Wednesday of each month, 4 PM to 5 PM, at the Marmalade Branch. If you have a kid in that 3rd-to-6th grade range who's into graphic novels, it's a low-pressure way to get them around other readers their own age. The session is an hour long, and it all happens in the library's multipurpose room.
