Finale of the Día de los Muertos Festival series, a celebration of those who have passed on, held at the library's Day-Riverside Branch.
The Día de los Muertos Festival wraps up its series at the Salt Lake City Public Library Day-Riverside Branch on Monday, November 2. It's the finale of a run of events centered around the holiday, which is a celebration of those who have passed on.
If you've been following the festival throughout the season, this is the closing act. The whole series has been built around that one idea—honoring the people who came before us—and this is the final gathering. The library and the Day-Riverside Branch have also made a point of thanking the community partners who helped put the series together, so it's as much a thank-you to the people who pitched in as it is a farewell to the festival itself.
It's a good way to cap off the holiday, especially if you've been keeping up with the other events in the series. If you haven't, this is still a standalone way to join in on the celebration. The Day-Riverside Branch is over on the west side, and the timing works for a weekday afternoon.
