Live show by This Is Lorelei, the solo project of New York artist Nate Amos, with Colin Miller at The Urban Lounge.
This Is Lorelei plays The Urban Lounge on Friday, October 23, with Colin Miller opening. The show is presented by S&S Presents.
This Is Lorelei is the solo moniker of New York artist Nate Amos, who also fronts the band Water From Your Eyes. He built his following in Chicago, where he produced hundreds of albums and EPs before moving to New York. His 2024 label debut, Box for Buddy, Box for Star, was his first intentionally written full-length solo album — a tongue-in-cheek look at musical personas that also worked through his newfound sobriety. The record earned year-end accolades from Rolling Stone, Billboard, GQ, Pitchfork, Stereogum, The FADER and Paste.
That same record spawned a quasi-deluxe version with covers and collaborations from MJ Lenderman, Snail Mail, Hayley Williams, Jeff Tweedy and Cameron Winter, as well as his father and sister, Bob and Sarah Amos. Described as a genre-agnostic polymath, Amos has seen his songs covered by many of today's most influential artists.
