Free artisan market with 65+ local makers selling handmade goods, vintage finds, ceramics and art, with live music, local eateries and a Charm Bar.
The Makers Hive Market comes to The Gateway on Sunday, October 25, from 12 PM to 4 PM. It's a curated artisan market that brings together local and small-business makers from across Salt Lake City, with more than 65 vendors setting up. You'll find handmade goods, vintage finds, ceramics, art, and jewelry, all in one spot in the heart of downtown.
Beyond the shopping, there's live music by lennnnyy_/ and a Charm Bar to hang out at, with local eateries nearby if you want to grab something to eat while you're there. The organizers describe it as a family-friendly and dog-friendly afternoon, so it's the kind of thing you can bring the kids and the dog along for.
There's a bit more to the organization than just this one date. The Makers Hive Market runs a series of these across the western US—Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah—and they make a point of hosting vendors from all backgrounds who share a passion for creating. For the makers, it's set up so they can create a profile once and then apply to any market in a few minutes. For visitors, you can sign up by email to get new market dates for the states you're interested in.
