The Discographers play two hours of classic rock and alternative songs in sync with horror and genre film footage at The State Room.
The Discographers bring their Dead Man's Dance Party to The State Room on Friday, October 30, just a few days before Halloween. It's a two-hour set of classic rock and alternative songs played in sync with horror and genre film footage, so you're watching a movie and listening to a live band at the same time.
If you're not familiar with how they work, the music isn't just background. The songs are timed to the footage, and the whole thing runs for two hours, so it's more of a full evening than a quick stop. The set pulls from classic rock and alternative, and the visuals come from horror and genre cinema, which fits the date. It's a night for anyone who likes the intersection of music and film, especially when the two are locked together.
