Live set by Salt Lake City collective The Committee, blending indie-Latin alternative, hip-hop and storytelling rap, at the 21+ venue The Urban Lounge.
The Committee play The Urban Lounge on Wednesday, October 21, starting at 7 PM. They're a Salt Lake City collective that works across three distinct voices: indie-Latin alternative, moody and introspective hip-hop, and raw, real-life storytelling rap. It's a local set, and they're playing right here in the city.
They aren't the only ones on the bill. The night opens with a full run of support: Once In A While, Andy Doors, Valentaaaa, Dedric, and Eternal Loser. With five openers before the headliner, it's a long stretch of music, so if you're coming specifically for The Committee, you might want to keep that in mind when you time your arrival.
As for the headliner, The Committee describes themselves as a collective rooted in the city's creative economy. The three styles they move through—indie-Latin alternative, introspective hip-hop, and storytelling rap—don't always sit in the same room, and hearing them in one set is the point. It's a local group playing a local room, and the lineup around them is just as Salt Lake.
