All-ages Sofar Sounds live music session at Limekiln, run in collaboration with the local bike group Good Dirt SLC.
Sofar Sounds is back in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, October 21, at Limekiln. If you've been to one of their sessions before, you know the general idea: a curated lineup of artists playing in a space you wouldn't normally find music in. This one is a bit different from their recent shows, though. It's run in collaboration with Good Dirt SLC, a local bike group open to all levels, and they're encouraging people to ride their way there.
That bike connection sets the tone for the evening. Instead of just driving to the venue, the idea is to make the trip part of the experience, with the ride through the city leading up to the music. From the street, it's a short walk up to the stone structure of Limekiln, which sits at 1559 E Tomahawk Dr. Since it's an outdoor spot, the organizers are being clear about the logistics: dress warm and bring a blanket or a chair to sit on. It's an all-ages show, so it works whether you're coming with friends or bringing the kids along.

The session runs from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, so it's a relatively short window—about an hour and a half of music. Tickets are $25. If you're into the idea of riding over, it's a good chance to get out on two wheels and end up at a show in a spot you might otherwise overlook.
