Sheriff Kringle: A New Juanito Bandito Musical

Pickleville on Tour is bringing Sheriff Kringle to the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center on Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28. It's a new Juanito Bandito Christmas musical written by TJ Davis, and it's the latest addition to the Bandito world.

The story centers on Juanito, who discovers something valuable buried beneath Chimney Rock. He decides to convince the townspeople that he's actually Sheriff Kody Kringle, the legendary lawman who rode into town and then mysteriously disappeared, only to return and save them from another crisis. The show mixes the outrageous characters and wild comedy of Juanito Bandito with family, tradition, laughter, music, and magic. It's a Christmas musical, so it fits right into the holiday season.

If you're not familiar with the name, Pickleville has become a Christmas tradition for tens of thousands of people, and this is their newest production. It's playing at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, located at 138 West 300 South in Salt Lake City. The center opened in 1997 on the site of the home of Rose and Harry Wagner, who started the Wagner Bag Company. After Harry died, Rose grew the business through the Great Depression. Her son, Izzi Wagner, became the naming donor in her honor, naming the Jeanné Wagner Theatre for his wife and the Leona Wagner Black Box for his sister. The center houses resident companies including Plan-B Theatre Company and Pygmalion Productions, and it hosts the Sundance Film Festival each January. Sheriff Kringle will be playing in the Jeanné Wagner Theatre.

There are two shows to choose from: Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28. Both are at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, 138 West 300 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.
