Side Hustle Dance Project presents 'Seven', an 80-minute contemporary dance piece exploring the seven deadly sins, recommended for ages 8 and up.
Side Hustle Dance Project brings Seven to the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center this October, with performances running Friday, October 23 through Sunday, October 25. The show is in the Leona Wagner Black Box, the smaller, more intimate space within the center.
The title Seven comes from the number's significance to the piece: the company works through the seven deadly sins as material for thought, and the audience navigates them as the performance unfolds. It runs 80 minutes, which includes a 15-minute intermission, and is recommended for ages 8 and up. Every patron needs a ticket, including infants being held.
If you're not familiar with the venue, the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center opened in 1997, with the current building following in 2001. It grew out of the Performing Arts Coalition, an alliance of local arts organizations, and was made possible by donors and support from Salt Lake County and the Salt Lake Redevelopment Agency. It's named after Rose Wagner, whose family home stood on the site. Her son, Izzi Wagner, became the naming donor and named the Jeanne Wagner Theatre for his wife, a dancer, and the Leona Wagner Black Box for his sister.
