A book club for foodies that pairs art and food, with a chocolate tasting inspired by artwork at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts.
Salt & Season is back at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts on Thursday, October 22, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. It's a book club for foodies that pairs art and food, and this session centers on chocolate.
Here's how it works: you'll tour the 'food-in-art' currently on display at the museum, and along the way, you'll taste chocolates inspired by the artwork. Those chocolates are made by Chef Romina Rasmussen of Chez Nibs, who leads the tasting and the conversations that follow through the museum galleries. It's a slow walk through the art with a tasting that ties back to what you're seeing, rather than just a tour or a tasting on its own.

The session is hosted by The City Library at the museum, and registration is required through the library. It's open to ages 16 and up only, so it's an adults-and-teens night rather than a family one. If you're into the intersection of art and food, this is a good way to spend a Thursday evening in the city. The museum is at 210 East 400 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84111, and the whole thing runs from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
