A three-hour screening of several ski movies that follow different stories, athletes and styles of skiing, recommended for all ages.
The Salomon Quality Ski Time Film Tour comes to the Jeanné Wagner Theatre on Thursday, October 22, at 7 PM. It's not a single movie, but a collection of films that run for about three hours without an intermission, so you'll be in your seat for the whole stretch.
Rather than one long feature, the evening showcases several films, each following different stories, athletes, and styles of skiing. The tour is built around the place ski movies hold in ski culture—the kind of thing that's hard to match except when you're watching them with friends. Between the different films, you'll see a range of disciplines and perspectives on the sport, all playing back-to-back.
The screening is recommended for all ages, and children 13 months and under don't need a ticket. If you're coming by public transport, your ArtTix ticket doubles as a UTA transit pass on the day of the show, which is a handy detail to keep in mind when planning your trip downtown.
