Meet birds of prey and learn about their connection to the Utah Raptor dinosaur at the Natural History Museum of Utah.
The Natural History Museum of Utah is hosting a Raptor Meet & Greet on Saturday, February 27, from 12 PM to 2 PM. It's part of a series that lets you meet modern birds of prey and talk about the traits they share with their dinosaur ancestors.
The whole thing is built around the museum's Utah Raptor, a Mesozoic dinosaur on display there. The raptor programs draw a line from that world to this one by introducing visitors to the birds of prey that carry its legacy. During the session, you'll get to meet live raptors and hear about where they live and the threats they face in the wild. It's a good way to see the connection between the fossils in the galleries and the birds still flying over the valley.
