Patti Harrison

Patti Harrison is playing The Showroom at The Gateway on Tuesday, December 15, at 6 PM. If you've only known her from the screen, this is a chance to see her do the thing she started with: stand-up.

She's a comedian and actress who cut her teeth in the New York City scene and has since played the international circuit, with rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a sold-out residency at London's Soho Theatre. On screen, she's probably most recognizable as the sociopathic Ruthie on Hulu's Shrill, and she's appeared on I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, High Maintenance, Search Party, and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Her film credits include the Sundance hit Theater Camp and the Paramount blockbuster The Lost City, and she earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Female Lead in Nikole Beckwith's Together Together, which she co-starred in with Ed Helms.

She's worked behind the scenes too, writing for several series, including two seasons of Netflix's Big Mouth, and she voiced Tail Chief in Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon. The stand-up is the root of all that.

The venue is The Showroom, Wiseguys Comedy Club's first Salt Lake City room, which opened in 2014 at The Gateway Mall. Since then, the club has grown into one of the country's best, booking names like Kevin Hart, Joe Rogan, and Wanda Sykes while also fostering local Utah talent. The show is on Tuesday, December 15, at 6 PM, and tickets are $5 for audience members.
