Halloween-themed rhythmic theatrical show by Warehouse 5 Drum Theatre that reimagines Halloween and pop-culture hits using only percussion instruments.
Warehouse 5 Drum Theatre brings Paranormal Percussion to the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center's Jeanné Wagner Theatre from Tuesday, October 27 through Thursday, October 29. It's billed as the world's only Halloween-themed drum show, and it lives up to the description: the entire production is performed using nothing but percussion instruments. The set reimagines Halloween and pop-culture favorites like This Is Halloween, Thriller, Jaws, The Addams Family, and Ghostbusters through a rhythmic lens, so you'll recognize the melodies even without a single melody instrument on stage.
It's as much a piece of theatre as it is a concert. The show runs 105 minutes with a 15-minute intermission, and it leans on eerie lighting, fog effects, comedy, audience interaction, and the occasional jump scare to build the atmosphere. It's recommended for all ages, though children under four or guests who are easily frightened might find some parts too intense. If you're into the theatrical side of things, there's a VIP experience that adds a premium front-row seat, a backstage pass, a guided stage tour, a chance to meet the performers and play the instruments, and an optional mini drum lesson.

There are a couple of nice perks to keep in mind. If you come in costume, you get 10% off show merchandise. And if you're using an ArtTix ticket, it doubles as a UTA transit pass on the day of the performance, which makes getting to the theater a bit easier. The show runs at 7:30 PM each night, and tickets range from $20 to $50, with a cheaper rate for kids 12 and under.
