A family-friendly yoga session led by Jayme Vetz of Emerald Kids Yoga, combining stories, games and relaxation techniques for children and adults.
Family Yoga is back at the Natural History Museum of Utah on Sunday, October 25, from 10:15 to 11:15 AM. It's a family-friendly hour led by Jayme Vetz of Emerald Kids Yoga, and it's one of the museum's youth and family programs—the same lineup that includes birthday parties, the hands-on Curiosity Club, drop-in activities, and seasonal celebrations, all designed to spark curiosity and passion for the natural world.
If you've never been, here's how the session works. Vetz weaves engaging stories, fun games, and sensory play together with meditation, breathing techniques, and deep relaxation. The goal is to help children and adults find focus and flexibility side by side, rather than as separate activities. It's a full hour, so there's room for the more active parts—the stories and games—and the quieter moments, like the breathing and relaxation, without one rushing the other.
