Origami workshop held at the Natural History Museum of Utah during ScienceFest, included with museum admission.
Origami Made Easy is coming to the Natural History Museum of Utah on Saturday, November 8, at 10:30 AM. It's an origami workshop, so you'll spend the session learning how to fold paper into shapes rather than just watching someone else do it. If you've never tried origami before, this is a good place to start.
The workshop is part of ScienceFest, a family-friendly weekend at the museum that celebrates the people, discoveries, and innovations driving scientific advancement in Utah. It's not just the origami session, either. Throughout the weekend, the museum runs science demonstrations, meet-and-greets with scientists, hands-on activities, science lectures, and paid workshops. If you're bringing kids, there's plenty to keep them busy beyond a single class.
If you want to make a full day of it, there's another workshop on the same Saturday: Cyanotype Photograms at 2:30 PM, which teaches the historic photographic process of sunlight, shadows, and chemical reactions. Between the two, you could go from folding paper in the morning to making sun prints in the afternoon.
