A family-friendly Halloween science program with hands-on crafts and spooky science activities at the Natural History Museum of Utah.
NHMU Family Seasonal Science: Halloween is at the Natural History Museum of Utah on Saturday, October 17, from 10:15 AM to 2:15 PM. It's a drop-in activity held in the museum's Earth Lab, so you can swing by whenever it fits your morning or afternoon rather than committing to a specific time slot.
The session is built around hands-on Halloween crafts that lean into the science side of things. You'll find a few different projects to work on: jack-o-lantern optical illusions, ghostly windsocks, water-repelling spider-web art, and mini Halloween wreaths. Since it's a drop-in, you can pick one and spend some time with it or move through several throughout the morning. The museum describes it as a family program, and children need to be accompanied by an adult.
