Free celebration of National Native American Heritage Month with traditional dances and multimedia art installations at the Natural History Museum of Utah.
The Natural History Museum of Utah is hosting a Native American Heritage Month Celebration on Sunday, November 15, from 11 AM to 4 PM. It's part of the museum's programming for National Native American Heritage Month, which they describe as a time to celebrate, reflect on, and appreciate the traditions and the future of Indigenous Communities.
Throughout the day, the museum brings together cultural institutions sharing resources, traditional dances, and active multimedia art installations. The dances are performed live, and the installations are multimedia, so you'll be seeing and hearing these traditions in person rather than just reading about them on a wall. It's the kind of day that lets you move between the performances and the art at your own pace.

The celebration is free with museum admission. If you're a Museum Member, a University of Utah student or employee, or an enrolled member of a Tribal Nation, admission is free, so the whole day won't cost you anything. Otherwise, you'll just need a standard ticket to get in. It runs from 11 AM to 4 PM, which gives you a good window to catch the dances and walk through the installations without having to rush.
