Persian-language theatrical production that weaves storytelling, drama and elements of Persian culture, recommended for all ages.
Janaan Art Group brings Mr. Arbi and Room No. 22 to the Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center on Saturday, October 17, at 6:30 PM. It's a Persian-language production that weaves together storytelling, drama, and elements of Persian culture, staged on the center's Main Stage Theatre at 2525 Taylorsville Blvd in Taylorsville.
Amir Mohammadi wrote and directed the play, with Zohreh Taher producing. The show runs about 75 to 90 minutes with no intermission, so you'll be in your seat for the whole thing without a break. It's recommended for all ages, and infants 13 months and under don't need a ticket, which makes it an easy one to bring the whole family to.
Janaan Art Group describes the production as a celebration of Persian arts and culture, intended to create a meaningful experience for both Persian-speaking audiences and the wider Salt Lake City community. If you're coming by public transport, your ArtTix ticket doubles as a UTA transit pass on the day of the performance, so you can ride the bus or train to and from the theater on the same ticket.
